10 Job Interview Fails That Will Make You Cringe (But Also Laugh)

With all the layoffs that have been going on recently (even in huge tech companies where no one ever thought this could happen), a lot of highly-skilled people are looking for new professional opportunities. Some of them aren't well versed in the art of interviewing for jobs, so they might put themselves in funny situations like those described below (however unlikely they are):
  1. Wearing pajamas to the interview: This might seem like a good idea if you're running late and don't have time to change, but trust me, it's not.
  2. Bringing your pet to the interview: Unless the job is specifically for a pet-related position, leave Fido at home.
  3. Being too honest: Telling your potential employer that you're only applying for the job because you need the money and have no real interest in the field is probably not the best idea. (This is actually what I did once, when I first started interviewing).
  4. Being too casual: Showing up to an interview in flip-flops and a tank top might make you feel more comfortable, but it doesn't make a great first impression.
  5. Forgetting your resume: It's a job interview, not a social call. Remember to bring your resume, or else you'll have to wing it and hope for the best.
  6. Overusing slang or curse words: While you might use them with your friends, it's best to avoid them in a professional setting.
  7. Having too much caffeine: It's great to be energized for an interview, but too much caffeine can make you jittery and difficult to understand.
  8. Being too nervous: Nervousness is normal, but if you're visibly shaking or sweating, it might be distracting to the interviewer.
  9. Going in with too high/low expectations: It's important to be realistic about the job and the company. Don't expect to be CEO on day one or to be paid a fortune if it's an entry-level position.
  10. Being unprepared: Not researching the company or not having answers to common interview questions can make you look unprepared and uninterested.
While these mishaps might be funny to think about, it's important to remember that a job interview is a professional setting and it's crucial to make a good impression. So, be prepared, dress professionally, and be yourself!

Pellamar Gel - BioActive S Acne review

Pellamar is a Romanian company that creates skincare products containing sapropel – therapeutic mud from a specific lake. It claims to be non-comedogenic and paraben-free, to cleanse the skin, remove impurities and excess sebum without drying the skin. It contains lavender flour extract, which is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and helps heal wounds, burns, etc. The mud extract has a hydrating and protective role. It contains key amino acids: alanine, proline and glycine that have the effect of slowing down the aging process. Salycilic acid acts as an exfoliant, deeply cleans the pores and can improve the skin's structure and color. I started using this gel last summer, when the pimples and dark spots and other weird stuff on my skin started bothering me. I use a pea-size amount of product, mix it with a little water and spread it evenly. I leave it on for a couple of minutes then rinse it off with warm water. It doesn’t smell great (due to the mud component) but the sm...

Maybelline Dream Satin BB Cream review

I don’t usually use foundation so I’ve always tried to find a product that makes me look good and has SPF. Since I started to get sun spots, I realized that I can’t go out in the sun anymore without something that protects my skin. I used sunscreen but I didn’t like the smell or the way it looked on me – sometimes when I sweated it turned white. I love this BB cream – it makes me look fresh and healthy, even when I’m tired or I don’t feel well, it makes my skin look dewy. I don’t use a primer or anything else, just blush on my cheeks. It lasts for a long time, I’ve been out for 6-8 hours and I still looked good when I returned home. The description says it is an 8-in-1 BB Cream, it brightens, smoothes and hydrates, it gives skin a dewy finish, it adjusts to skin tone and blurs imperfections – I agree with all of this. It has SPF 30. I use a small amount and blend it in with a foundation brush or a make-up sponge. List of ingredients: TITANIUM DIOXIDE, WATER, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE...
